Kodak is how the photography and film phenomenon got started. "Just Think!" is a program that enables kids all across America to learn up to date hands on techniques to learn about media in their culture. The 9/11 attack relates to Kodak and "Just Think!" perfectly. Although 9/11 was one tragic even with one main story, through media and people's creativity; the world got to see 9/11 in a thousand different ways. 'Some people constructed photo pages that captured images from around the world and presented them as slide shows with text. Some offered open letters. There were some recordings." (Lessig)
Journalism and blogging are ways for people to utilize the media (Internet) via text. They can write about whatever topic they desire and they can also read other posts as well. Blogging, especially, is a dangerous invention. I think it's dangerous because obviously people are going to write negative things about the President, for example, and when they read other posts; they are likely to gravitate toward similiar posts. That being said, it limits their knowledge about the President because they are only reading what they want to read, not, necessarily, what they need to know.
The open source software intrigues me a great deal because it goes against any and every copyright law. Open source software is basically a shared source code for everyone. No one is ineligible to utilize the code. A great example of this would be Google. Anyone and their grandma can create a Google account, or simply search on Google whenever they please. It's a beautiful thing.
