Fair Use

1. In film production, one example of a way in which fair use may be utilized would be in a documentary. Documentaries are often very biased, and are intended to prove a point. The producer of a documentary might be interested in taking copyrighted footage from videos, photos, etc. that he/she could use for assistance in forming an argument. For example, in Bill Maher's "Religulous" he draws heavily on footage from other films and edits them into his own film in a humorous way that helps him make his point. A second way in which fair use could be used in a film would be with the soundtrack. Film producers may wish to take music and put their creative juices to work, producing a spinoff of the original song that they incorporate in the film.

2. Here is a funny Bush parody I just found. They took this from a famous Abbott and Costello routine, but it's still creative and pretty good.
