Fair Use - Jessica

Fair Use is very important I think in any ameteur wanting to give a voice about a topic or movement. Some people who don't have access to footage but have great ideas in proving a point can use the material on youtube, like all of us for example. I would love to encourage people about helping the poverty in our world, but I don't have the footage or access to images to get my idea out there to voice, because of the internet, youtube, and fair use I can.
Another example as the Recut, Reframe, Recycle movie stated was that these mash ups provide the opposing side of an issue and creates disscussion about important topics. It created debate and exchange of opinions. This way we are able to learn from those we debate with. I don't know about you, but I always learn something new or another point of view after listening to a debate. This is how good documentaries are made by providing support of you point of view on a topic.

I found a good youtube clip entitled "Wolfpack Mashup 2" ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shFxjlvlmXw ). I plays the song "Aplogize" with pictures of world polution, then at the end pictures of our beautiful world. It emphasizes that after we are said and done with polution and it has done it's job, it will be too late to go back or apologize for what we have done to our world.
