I found the great majority of these examples ludicrous, and I don't quite understand how everyone else doesn't also. Maybe these people just need to see it written down and read the situation to realize how silly it seems. The part I found interesting was about the "terminator technology" in the seeds farmers use. The people processing and selling these products to the farmers (whom you would think they were wanting to help, because it then helps our country and economy...) are actually implementing technology into seeds that make it impossible to save and reuse seeds for the next years crops!? THIS is ridiculous. Perhaps more-so because I'm from Iowa and grew up with farmers in my family and all around me. Not only this, but it was developed in the U.S. For all we know the government probably had a high hand in this; which could send me off on another tangent...
The other main problem with all this copyright and suing in the music industry is that, usually, the artist aren't the ones having a problem with it! It's the money-hungry executives that want to squeeze every last penny (which they don't need more of) out of the pockets of, well, people like us! It reminds me of an artist, Ryan Star, and a song he wrote and sang called "Last Train Home". I read on a blog of his last year that he was trying to find an idea for a video for the song, and when he saw the movie "Slumdog Millionaire", he thought they would mesh very well. He did a little research online and found that someone had had the same idea and had already "mashed-up" his song to clips from the movie. I think it's an awesome idea, and I love the fact that he appreciated it and thought it was really cool of his fans to think of this, just like he had!
